Student academic support integration plans

Question: What are UNH's plans for reorganizing academic support for students in Dimond Library?

UNH is planning to strengthen how academic support services are organized by creating a student success center in Dimond Library that brings key services into a more connected, easier-to-navigate model.

The focus is on better coordination, not replacing existing services. Tutoring, advising, accessibility, and related supports would be co-located in one central space, with staff working together and using a shared referral approach so students can be quickly connected to the right help without having to navigate multiple offices on their own.

The model is designed around how students actually experience challenges. Academic progress, well-being, and belonging often overlap, so the effort is being developed in close collaboration with Student Life to ensure support feels coordinated and responsive rather than fragmented.

This builds on services already in place and is still in development, with ongoing input from faculty, staff, and students helping to shape how it works in practice. The goal is to reduce complexity for students while making better use of the support resources the university already provides.

Pending planning and renovations, the university is aiming for a potential launch of the co-located model in Dimond Library as early as fall 2027.
